Other than the fact that both those guitars were built in Nashville, there is no offical way to reconcile the build date and batch sequence for them.Īs I said earlier, my Metallic Purple Robot Studio, Limited Edition (which was the 2nd Les Paul Robot guitar built after the Blue Silverburst) does have a standard Gibson Serial number. That was because both of those guitars were considered prototypes. The serial numbers on both those guitars were silkscreened on not impressed into the wood as normal serial numbers. The First Run Dark Fires also have serial number that begin with letters "DF" and then there are 4 digits. ![]() I know that the First Run Robots had serial numbers that began with the letters "RG" and then there were 4 digits. ![]() I had the impression that you had a standard Gibson serial number which is either 8 or 9 digits.
